Upmarket lifestyle brand wholesaler specializing in leather goods is looking for our next regional sales associate to take over existing customers as well as grow the area by bringing in new business. The starting level for this role can be either entry-level or intermediate with unlimited potential in our dynamic business.

The ideal candidate should have the following skills and experience:

Essential:

  • Has the ability to get new clients consistently.
  • Good admin skills to keep records of stock sales with every customer and be able to pull them up to assist in replenishment sales.
  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task and take corrective action.
  • Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
  • Customer service experience, able to deal with customer queries via phone, e-mail, as well as face to face to deliver customer service excellence.
  • Is comfortable doing a corporate sales presentation and negotiating terms with a chain store but also able to build a rapport with a small business owner and understand how to successfully sell to clients with different needs so it becomes a win-win.
  • Has an outgoing, winning personality and is able to think on his feet.
  • Is a self-starter and has a huge drive, a high level of conscientiousness, and is able to perform under pressure.
  • MS office proficiency.
  • Good communication skills to give accurate daily and weekly feedback to the company and customers alike.

Desirable:

The role is based in Gauteng, working remotely for now, covering several provinces so therefore the ability to travel alone and operate responsibly is a necessity. Our sales associates visit potential and current clients not only to take orders but also to provide product information, answer client questions and concerns and build brand awareness. As such, the successful candidate will be given a portfolio of existing customers but is also expected to generate new business.
