The purpose of the Product Specialist is to focus on recruiting external brokers (advisors) and servicing them to grow our distribution network. They need to assist with fostering long-term relationships between brokers and their clients.
The primary objective of this role is to identify, recruit, and onboard new brokers, provide ongoing support to existing brokers, and expand our distribution network to maximize product penetration and market reach.
As an integral part of Everest Wealth Distribution team, the primary focus will be to work with Brokers being the interface between themselves and Everest Wealth to reach business objectives, increase production and brand awareness.
Duties and Responsibilities:
BROKER RECRUITMENT
- Identify potential brokers and develop strategies to recruit them as external advisors.
- Build and maintain relationships with broker candidates through networking, outreach, and targeted marketing efforts.
- Conduct presentations and meetings to promote our products and services and attract broker interest.
ONBOARDING AND TRAINING
- Facilitate the onboarding process for new brokers, providing training on our products, systems, and processes.
- Ensure brokers have access to necessary resources and support to effectively promote and sell our products to clients.
BROKER SUPPORT AND SERVICE
- Serve as the main point of contact for brokers, addressing inquiries, providing product information, and resolving issues in a timely manner.
- Conduct regular check-ins and performance reviews with brokers to assess their needs, offer guidance, and identify opportunities for growth.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure brokers receive prompt and accurate support across all aspects of their business relationship with our company.
- Developing quotes and proposals for advisors.
- Drive efforts to increase and maintain sales activity through events, training sessions, and office visits.
- Review new business pipeline, follow up on leads, and track the issuance of quotations to drive sales conversion.
- Provide correct and comprehensive quotes where required to support sales efforts and facilitate client decision-making.
RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT
- Cultivate strong, long-term relationships with brokers, earning their trust and loyalty as valued partners.
- Actively engage with brokers to understand their business goals, challenges, and market opportunities, and provide tailored support and solutions.
- Build and promote strong, long-lasting advisor relationships by partnering with them and understanding their needs.
BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
- Collaborate with brokers to develop and implement business development strategies to grow their client base and increase sales of our products.
- Identify and pursue opportunities to expand our distribution network by recruiting additional brokers in targeted markets or segments.
- Achieve growth and hit sales targets by successfully managing your broker panel.
- Design and implement a strategic business plan that expands our company’s broker and client base and ensure its strong presence.
- Planning and overseeing fresh marketing and expansion initiatives.
- Researching brokerages and individuals to find new opportunities.
- Bring innovative ideas and strategies to the business and turn them into action to create value and drive business success.
EVENTS AND TRAINING
- Attending conferences, meetings, and industry events.
- Training and upskilling new and existing Financial Advisors and their staff.
SUPPORT FUNCTIONS
- Support the administration and client service departments to ensure smooth operations and client satisfaction.
- Provide training and support to the distribution network on all systems, processes, services, products, and key business initiatives to ensure their effectiveness in client interactions.
- Monitor and measure the feasibility of new onboardings and provide reports on activity to management to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
- Take responsibility for administrative correctness, adherence to service level agreements, and accurate execution of business contracts and onboardings.
- Deal with queries and provide information on a range of sales and service issues, liaising with internal departments on processing issues to ensure superior service delivery.
- Build relationships with internal departments to ensure seamless collaboration and support for advisers.
- Driving and concluding new business
- Marketing value propositions for attracting new advisors and business
- Meet monthly and annual sales and new manpower targets
- Product quotes and benefits comparisons for potential new business
- Maintain and retaining existing broker and client relationships and support.
- Identify new business opportunities within existing advisor’s client base
- Facilitating and participating in meetings with key client stakeholders.
- Facilitating escalated queries from brokers and clients.
- Adhere to specific call and contact patterns
Qualifications:
- NQF Level 5
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in sales, business development, or broker recruitment in the financial services industry.
- RE1 and RE5
Skills:
- Financial Industry Expertise: Comprehensive understanding of financial products, markets, and regulations.
- Sales and Marketing Skills: Ability to generate leads, build relationships, and acquire clients.
- Client Relationship Management: Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with financial systems and tools.
- Training and Development: Capacity to train and support brokers effectively.
- Results Orientation: Strong focus on achieving targets and delivering high-quality outcomes.
