Hardware Operations Specialist

Purpose of the position

 Optix is a dynamic, innovative organization leading the way in driver safety systems, vehicle camera technology and machine vision applications. We are seeking an experienced and skilled Hardware Operations Specialist, to act as a specialist operator, advisor, and to head up our team working operations within our suite of fatigue monitoring cameras, driver behaviour cameras, and other specialized vehicle camera systems. This position will be expected to manage enterprise customer queries and perform analyses related to hardware products, and manage central configuration sets per device type and group.

 Areas of Responsibilities

 Address customer queries and provide technical support for hardware products in operations, against predefined product specifications and frameworks.

• Liaise with internal Sales and Support teams, as well as Commercial and Operational teams from the customer to align product capabilities with expectation, and ensure Support structures cater for unique requirements where applicable.
• Perform analyses and reporting of hardware performance, incident reviews, and customer request feedback.
• Collaborate with the hardware development team to resolve issues and improve products.
• Develop and maintain documentation for hardware products.
• Conduct training sessions for customers and internal teams.
• Monitor and report on hardware product performance.
• Ensure timely resolution of customer issues.
• Provide input on hardware product enhancements based on customer feedback.

  Experience, Skills & Requirements                                                                                                      

 Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a hardware product, development, support or operations role.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong conflict resolution skills with executive level customer roles.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Experience with hardware product documentation and training.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
• Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to quality.
• Familiarity with hardware development processes and tools.
