Senior Network Engineer

Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Network Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will work closely with network architects to design, implement, and maintain robust and secure network solutions. You will be responsible for overseeing the installation and configuration of networking hardware, implementing advanced security measures, mentoring junior staff, and handling complex network issues.

Key Responsibilities:

• Network Design & Implementation:Collaborate with network architects to design, develop, and implement secure and efficient network solutions.
• Hardware Installation & Configuration:Install and configure networking hardware, including routers, switches, wifi access points, and cabling systems.
• Network Security:Implement and maintain network security measures, ensuring protection against threats and vulnerabilities.
• Performance Monitoring:Conduct regular network performance tests, identify potential issues, and provide recommendations for optimization.
• Support & Troubleshooting:Handle escalated network support issues, providing advanced troubleshooting for complex problems.
• Reporting:Create and maintain detailed network status reports, offering insights on network performance and security.
• Team Mentorship:Provide guidance and mentorship to junior network engineers, fostering their development and growth within the team.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Work Experience:5+ years of professional experience as a Network Engineer.
• Networking Systems Expertise:Advanced knowledge of network systems, particularly Cisco, HP, Mikrotik, and Sophos.
• Switching:3-5 years of experience working with network switching technologies.
• Hardware Knowledge:Familiarity with networking hardware, including cabling, routers, and wifi access points.
• Routing Protocols:Solid understanding of communication and routing protocols.
• Network Analysis Tools:Experience with network analysis tools, such as SolarWinds, for monitoring and diagnostics.
• Problem-Solving & Communication:Strong analytical skills with the ability to resolve complex issues and communicate technical information effectively.

Certifications (Preferred):

• Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
• CompTIA Network+ (N+)
• Cisco Certified Design Associate (CCDA)
