Job Purpose:

The incumbent will be responsible for the implementation of sales strategies to increase acquisition, policy retention, establishing client relationships, identifying new markets for business insurance and identifying leads pipelines. Maintaining existing relationships between mutual clients of IIB and Outsourced advice partner.

Job Outputs:

  • Present our value proposition that is tailored to the known interests, needs, issues, and concerns of decision makers and influencers within and external to the organisation
  • First level information gathering on possible leads sources and prospects.
  • Identify potential leads sources and prospects both within the iMas stakeholder environment and externally
  • Facilitate meetings between IIB & Outsourced Advice Partner for quoting, quote results including after inception and at renewal / claim stages.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients and provide personalized service to ensure client satisfaction and retention.
  • Engage with existing customers upon renewal of policies facilitating possible meetings and upsell opportunities through the outsourced advice partner.
  • Ensure efficient customer service and professional communication when liaising with customers and service providers.
  • Ensure presence at Employee Wellness engagement and other networking opportunities with the intention to generate leads
  • Meet financial targets for acquisition and upselling
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, insurance products, and market conditions to provide clients with relevant and timely information.
  • Proactively monitor emerging trends within the Insurance industry, flagging relevant reports to managers, as needed.
  • Provide lead activity reports on a weekly and monthly basis.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and other departments to share knowledge, strategies, and best practices for overall business success.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Matric/Grade 12
  • Regulatory Exams for representative (RE 5) is advantageous
  • FSCA recognized qualification on NQF level 4 is advantageous
  • Minimum 2 years face to face marketing experience in Commercial (Business) Insurance
