INHERENT REQUIREMENTS (Skills & Knowledge)

  • A minimum of 3 to 5 yearsâ of accounting experience is essential , post completion of articles
  • Bachelors degree and professional qualification as CAS(SA)
  • Experience with Statutory reporting from Finance department
  • Experience with basic fundamentals in preparing audit working papers and reconciliations
  • Proficiency in the latest Microsoft/ G-suite packages is an essential requirement
  • Good presentation and communication skills
  • A strong logical thinking and analytical ability with excellent numerical skills.
  • The ability to be accurate and pay attention to detail.
  • Has a high energy level, is performance-driven and deadline-orientated.
  • Excellent planning, organizing and time management skills.
  • Ability to remain flexible, function under pressure and maintain a positive attitude and work performance in a variety of circumstances.
  • Ability to multi-task and to deal with complexities, use initiative to solve problems.
  • Ability to work independently, as well as be a team player.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Project Manage and execute group structure management related to company entities
  • Responsible for accurate compilation of annual financial statements, quarterly statutory packs and ad hoc statutory information requests
  • Responsible for the accurate compilation and on-time submission of B03 forms to the Reserve Bank quarterly and annual B21/B22 forms.
  • Manage the annual statutory audit conducted by the external auditors
  • Governance, risk and compliance for all financial policies and procedures to ensure they are documented, communicated and implemented throughout the business
  • Assist with any ad hoc requests related to the portfolio
