Key Responsibilities:
Day-to-day tasks (but not limited to):
- Invoice Processing – capture creditor and debtor invoices in the ERP system
- Cashbook allocations
- Assist with preparation of balance sheet reconciliations
- Update daily cashflow
- Preparation of payment instructions
- Debtors collection
- Maintain asset register
- Other ad-hoc tasks
- Assist with various HR and Payroll functions
Financial Reporting:
Assist in preparing accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Assist with various reporting responsibilities on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis.
Taxation Management:
Demonstrate a background in taxation, ensuring compliance with all relevant tax laws and regulations (Income tax/VAT/PAYE etc)
Budgeting and Forecasting:
Assist with budgeting and forecasting
Monitor budget performance
Human resources:
Monthly payroll
Preparation of offer letters & Employment contracts
Financial Analysis:
Assist with thorough financial analysis to support strategic decision-making and business planning.
Audit Coordination:
Assist with external audits, ensuring a smooth and efficient audit process.
Adhoc Projects:
Take on adhoc projects as they arise, demonstrating flexibility and agility in handling varied financial initiatives and projects.
Qualifications:
Honours degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
Completed 3 years of finance articles.
Professional qualification such as CIMA, SAIPA, SAIT or equivalent.
Experience:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a financial role.
Proven experience in financial operations, budgeting, and taxation.
Skills:
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for financial modelling and analysis.
In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and taxation.
Familiarity with multiple accounting packages, particularly Xero.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
