Job Details

An online payments platform is looking for Accounts Managers in Cape Town and Johannesburg.

The purpose of the position is to identify, develop and implement growth opportunities through active engagement with potential clients and existing partners. Identify new opportunities and sign new clients to the ecosystem.

DUTIES WILL INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Grow bottom-line revenue in the region.
  • Building volumes through channel partners to or above budget targets.
  • Taking direct responsibility for the offering and its sales and support channels (Including independent or small chains, regional chains, and franchises).
  • Engaging with the market to identify key partnerships to grow the offering.
  • Engaging with key Retailers, Franchises, and strategic partners to grow the collector base.
  • Compile, present and conclude proposals for new clients.
  • Keep up to date market intelligence (competitor offerings, key players, market dynamics that may influence sales volumes etc.).
  • Reporting & Analysis.
  • Liaison & co-ordination with Marketing department to ensure in-store marketing and promotional activities aligned with sales growth.
  • Focus Areas include the following: Public sector municipalities, Private Sector Corporates, Private Utilities, Collectors like Retailers and Banks etc.

Effective People Management

  • Effective management to ensure timely delivering of new billers and collectors.
  • Ensure operationalisation of new products and key accounts onboarding through engagements with operational and support areas.
  • Foster a trustworthy relationship with your Head of Sales that allows you to work independently whilst knowing when to seek guidance and decision-making approval.
  • Be prepared to share good and bad news as required.

Customer Retention:

  • Monitor Regional channel performance to ensure customer retention and growth.
  • Work closely with the Operations department to ensure accurate customer segment support at central Call Centre.

Reporting:

  • Ensure weekly and monthly reporting to the Head of Sales as required.
  • Align customer retention reporting with your daily role to ensure customer retention.

REQUIREMENTS              

  • Matric / Grade 12 qualification.
  • Undergraduate degree or diploma in business, sales or marketing is ideal.
  • Experience 5 plus years in Sales.
  • Driver’s license and own reliable vehicle.

Technical Competencies:

  • MS Office suite – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
  • Email communication and scheduling.
  • Freshdesk/Salesforce or similar customer retention platform.
  • Computer skills.
