Join Our Team as a Support Worker!

We are looking for Support Workers to provide exceptional Care and Support. As a Support Worker you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety, well-being, and comfort of our clients both in their homes and within the community. This role includes tasks such as medication administration, meal preparation, personal care, and specialized care for individuals with Mental Health issues or Learning Disabilities. If you have a passion for helping others and want to make a difference in peopleâs lives, we would love to have you on our team. You must be a car driver and own a car. Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide personal care and support to clients, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Assist with medication administration as directed by healthcare professionals.
  • Prepare meals and ensure dietary needs are met.
  • Assist with mobility and transfers, including the use of mobility aids.
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
  • Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Follow care plans and communicate any changes or concerns to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure the highest quality of care.
  • Provide care and support to the elderly in their own home.
  • Support individuals with learning disabilities, autism, and mental health issues to lead meaningful and fulfilling lives within their community.

Qualifications:

  • A high level of training and experience in working with People with Learning Disabilities and Mental Health Needs. Previous experience in a similar role is required.
  • Knowledge of caregiving principles and practices.
  • Ability to operate mobility aids.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients.
  • Compassionate and patient demeanour.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules or client needs.
  • Experience in working in setting where electronic monitoring and recording software is used.
  • Positive Behavioural Support and PMWA training preferred but not essential.

Salary is made up of actual working time and travel time (where applicable). Full time contract at 40 hours per week. Salary £24 752 per year. Mileage paid.
