Route Planner (FMCG)

The Route planner is responsible for;

• Transport route scheduling and optimisation 

• System management (relevant within the operational and transport environment) 

• Daily plan extractions 

• Process Improvement and supply chain coordination between Transport and DC operations 

• Analyse planning and operational efficiencies 

• Manage planning related aspects pertaining to branch openings and closures.

• Resolving of branch related queries within the planning (and related departments) scope 

• Client service and customer communication 

• Daily reporting 

Tertiary education: 

• Relevant Degree in Logistics / Supply Chain / Industrial Engineering / Operational Research 

Previous experience:  

• Minimum of 2 years route scheduling experience in an FMCG environment or related experience 

Knowledge / Skills: 

• Knowledge of SAP

• Knowledge of Supply Chain and DC operations 

• Microsoft packages, Routing software and distribution (or related route optimization software) 

• SAP Retail (or similar ERP Systems)  

• Infor Warehouse Management System (or similar WMS) and TMS (Transport management Systems) experience will be advantageous.
