A financial services advisory group is looking for a full-time Wealth Advisor to work in their Wealth Department. 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES, NOT LIMITED TO: 

  • Develop new business and maintain existing business
  • Build relationships with clients 
  • Retain existing clients and generate business from them by reviewing existing portfolios 
  •  Meet with new clients to perform a full financial needs analysis, or specific needs, whichever is required, uncovering areas of need to generate new business 
    • Generate new business by referrals and “cross-selling” for the different entities within the organisation, i.e. Trust, Wills, Tax and Accounting, Short-term insurance and Health  
    • Oversee and manage quotations, policy activations, amendments and claims  
    • Prepare and present proposals to potential clients  
    • Closing of leads 
    • Perform annual review/renewal for all existing clients  
    • Attend to client requests in a timeous manner  
    • Develop and maintain relationships with key account clients  
    • Develop and maintain excellent relationships with the markets/product providers  
    • Manage and maintain new and existing clients’ relationships through a client SLA 
  • Understand and remain current on changes in client’s situations/needs (short- and long-term financial objectives, risk tolerance) 
  • Inform clients of changes to their portfolio and/or market trends that may affect the client’s financial objectives 
  • Travel within South Africa and neighbouring countries when required 
  • Develop individual business plan 
  • Achieve sales targets by acquiring profitable new business 
  • Monthly business reporting 
  • Adhere to compliance, operational procedures and practice management standards 
  • Responsible for maintaining and improving knowledge of various products as well as staying abreast of industry and regulatory changes 
  • Responsible for adherence with continuous professional development requirements in line with qualification  

REQUIREMENTS  

  • Workpool & Google Docs Knowledge 
  • 3 – 5 years’ experience 
  • Industry related Qualification 
  • Registered as Representative of related FSP 
  • FAIS legislature requirements, which include, but not limited to:  
    • RE1 and RE5 
    • Responsible to meet the CPD requirements 
  • Continue to meet all Fit and Proper requirements as per the latest legislation 
  • This role requires frequent business travel
