Corporate Underwriter

A rapidly expanding insurance company is seeking a dynamic Corporate Underwriter specialising in Property Underwriting. This role is key to implementing effective underwriting decisions, maintaining strong underwriting discipline, and ensuring sound risk management by determining appropriate terms and conditions for accepted risks within the Corporate Business segment.  

Education:
– Commercial Insurance/Risk Management qualification
– RE5

Skills/Experience required:
– Minimum of 5 years of experience in the insurance industry, with a focus on technical underwriting, pricing and risk management.
– Track record in Property Underwriting environment.
– Proficiency in data analytics and technology-driven underwriting tools
– Motivated and energetic, with desire to learn and grow in the insurance industry

Key Responsibilities:
– Deep understanding of Asset All Risks policy terms and conditions.
– Use bespoke underwriting tools to guide risk selection, capacity, and pricing.
– Determines terms and conditions aligned with risk appetite.
– Identifies key risks and implements mitigation strategies.
– Ensure underwriting tasks align with business processes.
– Handle broker submissions, risk surveys, and compliance reports.
