Position Overview:
We are seeking an ambitious, professionally qualified individual to join as an Executive Assistant. This role is designed to provide valuable experience in supporting executive leadership while offering opportunities for professional growth and development. The role is suited for someone seeking to expand their strategic, operational, and leadership skills within a globally based organisation in the agriculture sector.

 

Key Responsibilities:
The Executive Assistant will support the Managing Director in the following areas:

 

1. Strategic and Operational Support:

  • Support the Managing Director in strategic planning, project execution, and business development initiatives.
  • Assist in coordinating strategic projects and initiatives, ensuring timelines are met.
  • Conduct research, gather insights, and provide analysis to support decision-making.
  • Liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders to facilitate project and business delivery.

2. Administrative and Communication Support:

  • Manage and coordinate the Managing Director’s schedule, appointments, and travel arrangements.
  • Organize and prepare materials for meetings, including agendas, presentations, and minutes.
  • Draft, review, and distribute correspondence, internal communications, and reports.
  • Handle correspondence on behalf of the Managing Director.
  • Manage confidential and sensitive information with utmost discretion.

3. Event and Meeting Coordination:

  • Plan, organize, and coordinate events, conferences, and team-building activities.
  • Prepare and distribute meeting agendas, record accurate minutes, and ensure follow-up actions are completed.

4. Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, partners, and team members.
  • Act as a point of contact for the Managing Director, ensuring professional and efficient interactions.

5. Development and Learning Opportunities:

  • Engage in mentorship opportunities with the Managing Director to develop business acumen and leadership skills.
  • Gain exposure to strategic decision-making processes and organizational leadership.
  • Participate in professional development activities and learning opportunities.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Commerce, Business Administration, Communications, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in a professional role with exposure to strategy, leadership, or executive support.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and other relevant software.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, international environment preferred.
