Job Details

Main Purpose
Ensure the effective management and implementation of various HR functions, including EVP, CSI, Compliance (B-BBEE, Skills development, and Employment Equity), Reporting, Automation, Talent Retention, Training and Development, employee relations, performance management, and industrial relations. You will play a crucial role in driving the company’s HR strategies and initiatives to support organizational goals and create a positive work environment.

Responsibilities
• Develop and implement an Employee Value Proposition (EVP) strategy that attracts, motivates, and retains top talent.
• Develop and implement comprehensive onboarding programs to ensure a seamless transition for new employees.
• Manage the entire employee lifecycle, from recruitment and selection to offboarding, ensuring compliance with relevant policies and regulations.
• Drive Corporate Social Investment (CSI) initiatives and programs to contribute positively to the community and enhance the company’s reputation.
• Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and regulations, including Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment (B-BBEE), Skills Development, and Employment Equity.
• Prepare accurate and timely HR reports, metrics, and analytics to support decision-making and provide insights to the management team. Identify opportunities for process automation and implement HR systems and tools to streamline
HR operations and enhance efficiency.
• Implement talent retention strategies, including succession planning, career development programs, and employee engagement initiatives.
• Develop and deliver effective training and development programs to enhance employees’ skills, knowledge, and performance.
• Manage employee relations matters, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and grievance handling, while ensuring fair treatment and adherence to company policies and procedures.
• Oversee the performance management process, including goal setting, performance appraisals, and coaching managers to effectively manage their teams’ performance.
• Monitor and put initiatives in place to drive EWP.
• Maintain positive and productive industrial relations, including managing relationships.
• Drafting, maintaining and reviewing HR policies as well as ensuring that all employees are aware of HR policies.
• Stay updated on HR best practices, trends, and legal developments to ensure the company’s HR policies and practices remain compliant and competitive.

Qualification Requirements
• Grade 12
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources

Work Experience
• 3 years’ experience in a similar role

Software Application Requirement
• Microsoft Office
• Sage 300 (4Flow HR Onboarding)

Competencies Required

Knowledge 
• Thorough understanding of Employment Value Proposition (EVP) concepts and strategies.
• In-depth knowledge of Corporate Social Investment (CSI) principles and practices.
• Comprehensive understanding of relevant compliance regulations, such as Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment (B-BBEE), Skills Development, and Employment Equity.

Proficient in HR reporting and analytics, with the ability to interpret data and provide meaningful insights.
• Familiarity with HR automation systems and tools, including experience in implementing and managing HR technology solutions.
• Sound knowledge of talent retention strategies, including succession planning and career development programs.
• Understanding of training and development methodologies, including e-learning and blended learning approaches.
• Knowledge of employee relations principles and best practices, including conflict resolution and grievance handling.
