IT Infrastructure Specialist

• Position Summary 

Provide complex and advanced network, server and new system interface support, design and implementation and continual upkeep of the core and or complimentary systems used by the practice within a wide range of technologies as per departmental and organisational requirements.

The job holder will be required to:

• Implement and maintain complex and advanced network, server, and system interfaces as and when required to ensure system integrity and stability.
• Determine Organisational requirements by attending briefing sessions with Customers and Managers ensuring implementation of IT system
• Investigate and evaluate various solutions in line with organisational requirements to ensure system effectiveness and optimum use of resources.
• Optimising systems and or interfaces through recommendations to ensure IT equipment is in line with specific business needs.
• Implement, install and commission selected systems to ensure optimal connectivity availability and utilization of IT systems.
• Provide ongoing support to customers on systems to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Provides hands-on system training and mentoring as and when required.
• Monitoring performance, troubleshooting and optimizing business critical I.T. Systems.
• Working on and taking responsibility for new and ongoing I.T projects as well as documentation thereof.
• Adhere to the business and change control processes as well as relevant standard operating procedures.

Relevant Job knowledge/Special Requirements:

• Relevant Degree or Diploma
• 5 years relevant experience
• Microsoft Azure/M365 Certifications.
• AWS knowledge
• ITIL Certified
• FortiGate Firewall experience Adv.
• Experience in Exchange 2013/2016/2019/MS Exchange Online Adv.
• Experience in Active Directory Domain Services and AAD
• Microsoft Teams and SharePoint Admin experience
• SCCM experience
• Basic telephony (Asterisk) experience
• Proven experience in IT infrastructure management.
• Strong knowledge of server and network administration.
• Familiarity with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
• Proficiency in operating systems (Windows, Linux, etc.).
• Knowledge of storage systems and backup solutions (Commvolt).
• 3 – 4 Years MS Azure and AWS Experience
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Understanding of IT security principles and best practices.
