Job Title: Lifting Machine Inspector (LMI)

Job Overview: We are seeking a qualified and experienced Lifting Machine Inspector (LMI) to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting load testing and inspections on lifting machinery in accordance with regulatory and company standards.
Key Responsibilities:

Perform load testing and inspections for the following lifting machinery:
-
Mobile Elevating Work Platforms (MEWPs)
-
Forklifts / Telehandlers
-
Mobile Cranes (preferred but not essential)
-

Ensure all inspections and load tests comply with the requirements of Driven Machinery Regulation 18 (5), (6), and (7) of the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHS Act) 2015.

Conduct inspections and testing in line with the Standards Incorporated in the Act under Section 44, OEM specifications, and Eazi Access checklists and registers.

Maintain full compliance with Eazi Access policies and procedures.
Qualifications & Experience:

Registered with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA) as a Lifting Machine Inspector (LMI).

Must have the relevant scopes listed on the ECSA registration letter, specifically for:

MEWPs
-
Forklifts / Telehandlers
-
Mobile Cranes (preferred but not essential)

Minimum of 3 years of post-registration experience as an LMI.

If registered with ECSA for more than 5 years, proof of re-registration and expiry date must be provided.
Skills & Competencies:

Strong knowledge of OHS Act regulations and compliance requirements.

Attention to detail and accuracy in reporting.

Ability to work independently and adhere to inspection schedules.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
