Job Details

SCOPE OF WORK

  • Complete payroll function for all wage employees(+/-1500)
  • Deliver accurate and quality payroll service to all employees.
  • Collecting and processing/ capturing all payroll data/documents by set deadlines.
  • Perform a first review of payroll prior to submitting to management for review.
  • Queries must be dealt with in a timeously and professional manner.
  • Providing guidance on the prevailing laws governing payroll and income taxes, employee benefit, garnishments, reimbursement policies and other statutory pay related entitlements.
  • Maintaining workflow with HR Department
  • Assist management and HR with salary structures/proposal for all new appointments.
  • Confidential correspondence for staff regarding income/service etc
  • Certificates of service/UI-19’s
  • Control garnishes/ maintenance orders
  • Complete leave administration as per leave policy and procedure
  • Retrenchments – payments/tax directives
  • Liasing with SARS with any queries or requests
  • All the required filing – payroll documents, employee files, leave forms etc.
  • Comply with document retention standards & practices and maintaining accurate payroll records and accurate employee files.
  • Checking and balancing all payrolls for release on banking system
  • Loading of wages on the banking system
  • Reconcile payments of all creditors/3rd parties by set deadlines
  • Prepare monthly pay overs and send monthly reporting to the relevant departments/3rd parties
  • Produce accurate and timely reporting of all data as required by the business, including month-end reports
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts related to payroll
  • HR and financial reporting
  • Month end financial reconciliations of all payrolls. Balance payroll cost to relevant division and report costing to financial managers
  • Full function Provident Fund Administration
  • Distribute Provident fund benefits statements
  • Knowledge of BCEA,EE,SDLA, income Tax Act, COIDA and other relevant legislation
  • Keep informed about changes in tax laws that apply to the payroll process
  • Maintain high standards of accuracy and quality, taking accountability for compliance with relevant legal and group policy requirements regarding all payroll related matters,

 

Minimum Qualifications required

  • Matric 12 Certificate
  • Certificate or Diploma
  • Computer Literate; Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Must be in possession of a valid RSA driver’s licence and own vehicle

 

Experience

  • 5 years’ experience in Payroll Administration & processing
  • VIP Premier Experience and relevant certificates essential
