    Responsibilities:
    Payroll Operations:

    • Oversee the end-to-end payroll process, ensuring accuracy and full compliance with statutory regulations.
    • Manage the complexities of dual payroll systems, including fixed salaries and commission-based payments.
    • Address ad hoc payments and special payroll arrangements with precision.

    System and Process Management:

    • Collaborate with S-Cubed to enhance payroll system functionality.
    • Lead initiatives to transition manual payroll processes to streamlined, efficient workflows.

    Team Leadership:

    • Manage and mentor a team comprising an Accountant and an Assistant Manager, ensuring accountability and high performance.
    • Foster a culture of collaboration, detail orientation, and process discipline.

    Governance and Compliance:

    • Ensure strict adherence to governance protocols and regulatory requirements.
    • Handle SARS submissions, UIF compliance, and other statutory obligations with zero errors.

    Process Improvement:

    • Introduce structure and consistency to an unstructured payroll environment.
    • Develop robust processes and controls for managing high volumes of manual and ad hoc payroll activities.

    Reporting and Communication:

    • Prepare payroll reports for senior management.
    • Effectively communicate payroll policies and updates to employees and stakeholders.

    Qualifications and Experience:

    • Education:
      • Degree or diploma in Finance, HR, Business Administration, or a related field.
    • Experience:
      • Minimum 5 years in payroll operations, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
      • Hands-on experience with S-Cubed payroll systems is highly advantageous.
      • Proven track record in process optimization and system enhancements.
    • Skills:
      • Strong knowledge of South African payroll laws, tax regulations, and compliance.
      • Proficiency in payroll software and the Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
      • Excellent organizational, analytical, and leadership capabilities.
