DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaborate with department heads and hiring managers to determine staffing requirements and develop comprehensive job descriptions.
- Employ various recruitment strategies and channels to attract qualified candidates, including but not limited to job boards, social media platforms, professional networks, and recruitment agencies.
- Headhunt top talent through proactive sourcing methods to ensure acquisition of high-caliber candidates.
- Conduct thorough screening of resumes and applications to evaluate candidates’ qualifications and alignment with job specifications.
- Coordinate and facilitate the entire interview process, including scheduling interviews, arranging panel interviews, and managing candidate feedback.
- Provide timely feedback to candidates throughout the recruitment process, enhancing candidate experience and employer branding.
- Participate in final stage interviews to conduct culture assessments and ensure alignment of candidates with organisational values and principles.
- Conduct reference checks, background screenings, and any necessary assessments for selected candidates.
- Extend employment offers and negotiate terms of employment with successful candidates.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date recruitment records, ensuring compliance with data protection regulations.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in recruitment and talent acquisition, implementing innovative strategies to enhance recruitment outcomes.
- Collaborate with the CFO and department executives to secure budget approval for recruitment-related expenses.
- Prepare and present weekly recruitment reports to department executives and the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), providing insights into recruitment metrics and progress.
- Utilise project management tools like Asana to track recruitment progress, monitor candidate pipelines, and ensure timely follow-up.
- Maintain open communication with all stakeholders, keeping them informed of recruitment progress and status updates.
- Oversee employee file management and ensure compliance with data protection regulations.
- Facilitate the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring all necessary paperwork is completed and employees are seamlessly integrated into the organisation.
- Negotiate favorable agency placement fees and identify cost-saving opportunities to optimise the overall cost to company (CTC) for new hires.
- Collaborate closely with the Cape Town HR Business Partner (HRBP) on recruitment and onboarding projects, fostering strong internal stakeholder relationships.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience working as a recruitment specialist, talent acquisition professional, or in a similar capacity.
- FinTech experience advantageous.
- Profound knowledge of recruitment methodologies, including sourcing, screening, and interviewing techniques.
- Familiarity with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and other recruitment software.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to build rapport with candidates and hiring managers.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Comprehensive understanding of South African labor laws and regulations related to recruitment and employment.
