Sourcing & Supplier Governance Manager

A digital bank with a strong entrepreneurial identity and a high-performance culture is looking for a Sourcing & Supplier Governance Manager for their Legal & Governance Department. 

Location: Johannesburg, South Africa 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES  

Sourcing 

• Understand Sourcing policies and guide and assist business within the parameters of same 
• Onboarding of suppliers from end to end 
• Ability to understand suppliers’ proposals and have the ability to understand scope and transfer information into a WO/Schedule template 
• Sound understanding of contracts, from drafting to scanning through already drafted 
• Understanding the business requirements and be able to guide business through the sourcing process 
• Based on the Business requirements and have the ability to advise the business on the most appropriate sourcing approach, contracting strategy and negotiation strategy 
• Understand RFX’s process and be able to direct and guide business accordingly 
• Negotiating a binding contractual agreement 
• Engaging the appropriate Business owners to develop and gain approval for contract execution 

Governance & Risk Management 

• Contribute towards ensuring that the Baseline and pipeline is up to date 
• Ensure that all documents are appropriately store and filed at all times 
• Manage all stakeholders’ owners’ expectations while negotiating and completing deals 
• Presenting at Supplier Risk Assessment Meetings 
• Responsible for identifying and managing risk of deals with internal and external stakeholders, escalating as required 
• Ensure compliance with Supplier Governance processes as well as risk and compliance obligations 
• Ensure that you comply with policies and procedures and any relevant external legislative requirements 
• Providing support in dispute management processes 
• End-to-end supplier governance process management.  
   

REQUIREMENTS 

• Relevant BCom qualification 
• Sourcing and Governance and Risk knowledge 
• Ability to work collaboratively 
• Have clear communication and interpersonal skills 
• Ability to problem solve and make decisions 
• Ability to think laterally and develop new and innovative solutions to problems 
• Understanding of BBBEE and onboarding documentation required from suppliers 
• Sourcing experience withing the banking/financial sector 
• SRM (Supplier Relationship Management) experience or understanding thereof an advantage
