Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare new business quotes
• Issue new policies, renewals, and endorsements
• Negotiate renewal terms and prepare renewal documentation
• Check policies before sending them to brokers
• Handle telephonic queries and amendments from brokers
• Monitor and manage loss ratios to ensure profitability
• Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers to facilitate business growth
• Ensure all underwriting activities comply with regulatory requirements and company policies

 

Required Qualifications:

• Matric
• NQF Level 4 – Full qualification (short-term insurance) as set by regulation
• Regulatory Examination Level 5 successfully completed
• DOFA confirmation from FSB

• Minimum 2 years’ commercial underwriting experience
• Experience in working with commercial products
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Good time management skills and the ability to handle stress
