Sales Representative: Durban/Cape Town/Johannesburg

PURPOSE OF THE JOB
Sell GreenJobs products and services to new and existing customers. Ensure effective customer service by solving customer problems with appropriate product solutions.

Report to National Sales Manager.

4. KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
KPA 1: Meet with New Customers (See the People _STP)
-
Generate leads
-
Prospecting & Cold Calling to develop a client database.
-
Make concerted efforts with phone calls and door-to-door calling to make contact with
prospective clients.
-
Grow the brand in various industries including Hospitality, Manufacturing & Production,
Agriculture, Food, Education, Commercial and more.
-
Secure client meetings with the relevant decision-makers.
-
See a minimum of 8 – 12 new clients per week. Work towards a 35% conversion rate.
KPA 2: Demonstrations and Sales
-
Identify the needs and opportunities when meeting the client.
-
Provide demonstrations whilst selling the value of the products for different solutions to
problems. Product demonstration is an essential step to close the sale.
-
Work towards product buy-in from customers.
-
Be practical and use technical / maintenance / logical understanding of the problem to
propose solutions.
-
Think creatively to involve onsite staff and decision-makers alike in the demonstration
process.

Close the sale.
KPA 3: Provide excellent service to existing clients
-
Provide the relevant training to customers staff for correct use of the products.
-
Build relationships and connect with clients on a regular basis to determine their needs.
-
Ensure effective and timeous service delivery.
-
Work towards 5 new clients every month / 3 to 5 Bins/SLA’s per month
KPA 4: Use and Communicate Sales Data

Respond swiftly with quotations and orders.
-
Submit weekly planning every Friday prior.
-
Submit monthly prospect planning every month.
-
Use Skynamo technology to track, understand and interpret data in business context.
-
Show photo on Skynamo of demonstration to each client.
-
Discuss sales projections and targets with management.
-
Communicate sales steps and procedures using the necessary techniques and technology.
-
Keep up to date with sales and industry trends.
-
Use meetings and training experiences to practice and apply new information.

SKILLS/ EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Excellent communication skills

Sales knowledge and techniques applied across all sales processes

Ability to understand financial data, statistics and numerical application of product formulas.
Must understand the bottom-line.

Experience in solving problems related to facility maintenance.

Learn and know product information very well.

A valid driver’s licence.

Own vehicle.

Arrange meetings by using effective prospecting and cold calling methods.

Must provide demonstrations to clients to sell the GreenJobs products. Proof of
demonstrations will be required.

Essential to sell the value of the GreenJobs product not on price.

Know when input versus output is unsuccessful, overstretched or not providing profitable
business results.
8. QUALIFICATIONS
-
School subject’s requirements any of the following: (Mathematics Pure, Natural Sciences, Life Sciences, and Business Studies or Economics).

Trained and experienced in sales processes.
-
Experience in facility maintenance across industries
-
Must be computer literate and have administrative experience.
