An Ophthalmologist practice seeks the services of a strong administrator to assist with medical aid
and billing administration as well as general office admin.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES, NOT LIMITED TO
- Answer the telephone
- Scheduling of appointments
- Handling of patient queries
- Greet patients face-to-face
- Frontline reception
- Liaising with medical aids
- Assist with billing
- Complete remittances and relevant documentation
- Filing
- Administration
REQUIREMENTS
- Good communication skills in English
- Professionalism
- Excellent telephone etiquette
- Excellent patient interaction skills
- Empathy
- Knowledge of medical systems for billing purposes – MUST have prior working experience on a medical system
- Knowledge of medical codes, eg ICD10 codes
- Understanding of medical conditions and procedures
- Ability to handle huge volumes and a pressurised working environment
