SPECIFICATION
A business service provider specialising at helping their clients improve their operational efficiency and service standards while preserving their business against tomorrow’s threats is seeking a Campaign Manager to work as part of their Acquisition Planning and Media team. This role will manage the campaign execution and ad operations across a variety of channels and portfolio of brands. Working as part of the Paid Media Team and wider agency network, this role is critical in ensuring campaigns are delivered against plan with clear and consistent tracking to allow for effective optimization and measurement. Reporting to the Head of Paid Media, the role will support Paid Media channel Leads and the Acquisition Capability Lead in managing the cross-brand campaign calendar, trafficking, ad-servers and agency execution and testing. The successful candidate must have an analytical approach and a passion for driving performance improvements.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Own the trafficking and campaign deployment through platforms and agencies/vendors, ensuring effective data collection
- Build and own the campaign execution calendar
- Support the Head of Paid media and channel leads with execution plans across multiple channels, vendor and agencies
- Support the Channel leads in effective measurement and reporting of campaigns
- Work with BI and Web Analytics to create effective tracking and data collection methodologies and reporting suites
- Champion requirements for supporting tools to drive scale and enhance advertising operations, as well as for measuring, monitoring, and reporting
- Support Channel leads to develop and evolve creative assets and landing pages with marketing, conversion and creative teams
- Own the A/B testing roadmap for paid media channels, enduring channel leads are contributing to testing plans
- Working within the Paid Media team; develop a measurement framework for paid channels and the attribution of all channels and KPIs
- Monitor and optimize campaign performance and communicate results and recommendations to the Head of Paid Media and channel leads
REQUIREMENTS:
- Education: A degree in a business related or technical field such as Marketing, Economics, Finance, Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, or any other related field. An equivalent of the same is also acceptable for this position.
- Experience: A candidate for this position must have had over 3 years’ experience in campaign management and ad operations, driving customer acquisition across multiple marketing channels and working as part of a multi-channel media team/agency highly preferred. Have a history in driving growth with innovative demand generation and prospecting campaigns. Extensive experience working not only with, ad-serving platforms and digital monitoring tools, but also with offline marketing tools and strategies. The candidate must also have a proven and successful experience building and executing digital marketing campaigns for a business in a highly competitive and complex business environment
- Analytical Skills: Highly analytical and data driven. Proficiency in A/B testing. Have the ability to track and report on key metrics that measure performance in programs and campaigns inclusive of traffic, revenue, conversions, and ROI.
- Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication skills, both in written and verbal form. Communication should be clear. Customer-oriented and detail-oriented with strong organizational skills. Able to prioritize and work comfortably on multiple projects and meet deadlines, work effectively under pressure. Be team-oriented using sound judgment in decision making, demonstrate calmness in uncertain and stressful circumstances. Be approachable and relatable person who will earn the trust.

Additional Information:
As the company is based in the UK, suitable candidates will be engaged as permanent contractors. While this arrangement does not include benefits, a competitive rate will be offered. Contractors will invoice the company on a monthly basis.
Additionally, candidates are expected to work on South African public holidays in alignment with UK holidays and bank holidays.

Must be a team player with the ability to adapt quickly to changes, rather than someone with a rigid “know-it-all” approach.
This is a Cape Town-based role, with office space anticipated in 2025. Until then, candidates need to be flexible with remote work, with the potential for in-office work three days a week in the future.
