Are you a strategic financial leader with a passion for driving business growth, financial excellence, and compliance? A leading financial services company, is seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to shape their financial strategy, optimise performance, and ensure regulatory compliance.
As CFO, you will play a key role in steering the company’s financial health, managing risk, and contributing to long-term success. You’ll lead financial planning, governance, and reporting, ensuring compliance while supporting executive decision-making.
A critical success factor for this role is high emotional intelligence and the ability to build, maintain and sustain strong relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Strategy & Leadership – Develop and execute financial strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Governance & Compliance – Oversee financial reporting, tax planning, and regulatory adherence.
- Risk & Internal Controls – Implement robust financial controls and fraud prevention measures.
- Cash Flow & Liquidity Management – Optimise working capital, investments, and financing arrangements.
- ICT & Technology Oversight – Ensure efficient financial systems, cybersecurity, and digital transformation.
- Stakeholder Engagement – Collaborate with the CEO, COO, board, regulators, and investors.
- Vendor & Payroll Management – Manage payroll, tax submissions, and vendor relationships efficiently.
What We’re Looking For:
Education & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- CA(SA) (preferred) or CIMA.
Experience & Skills:
- 10+ years in financial management, risk, and compliance within the financial services or corporate sector.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS, tax laws, FSCA, SARB, SARS, FICA, FAIS, and POPIA.
- Experience with risk management, governance (King IV), and financial reporting
- Proven ability to drive cost optimisation, strategic decision-making, and business growth.
- Strong leadership, IT, and financial technology (FinTech) expertise.
