Coating Quality Control Supervisor

A company specialising in Water Filtration, Sand Filters, Fertigation Equipment, Borehole Water Treatment for over 45 years, has supplied the Southern African market with quality water filtration and fertigation equipment. They have built up an excellent name for quality, service and reliability.

DUTIES AND REQUIREMENTS

• At least 4-5 years’ experience in epoxy coating – both powder and wet spray in a QC supervisory role. Coating Inspection qualification preferable.
• Experience in surface preparation – shot blasting on mild steel surfaces
• Experience in a range of testing equipment for surface preparation and epoxy coating
• Experience in compiling full quality control documentation
• Good communication skills
• Experience in supervising a small team
• Experience in handling large equipment (up to 4 tons) preferable

NOTES

• Will oversee 3 people – managerial/supervisory experience is necessary
• Have to be extremely particular on procedures and follow
• Looking for someone with industrial experience. Not so interested in candidates with automotive, panel beating or window frames experience. It will be very different to what we do.
• Ideally suitable candidates should come from an industrial background and have experience at coating steel vessels, where access to certain parts of the vessel can be limited.
