SPECIFICATION

A company dedicated to delivering the most effective and advanced solutions for the life sciences sector throughout South Africa and the broader African continent is looking for an experienced Customer Service Specialist. The responsibilities include assisting with reception, handling quotes ancd order fulfilment process as well as resolving queries for the company’s product range through non-face-to-face communication channels. 

 KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  

  • Assisting with reception area tasks for the regional Cape Town office including answering and directing calls from the switchboard; and being the initial contact point between internal and external clients; contractors and suppliers 
  • Handles and responds to incoming quotation requests and purchase orders including processing of quotations and sales orders for a various range of products  
  • Delivery of accurate information on product range and services to ensure consistency across the organisation and provide a reliable and trustworthy customer service experience  
  • Acts as client liaison relating to product availability, delivery and pricing information  
  • Responds to complaints from customers and takes ownership of the complaint resolution process  
  • Assists in the completion of general administrative functions as required 

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:  

  • Matric with Pure Mathematics and Life Science (essential)  
  • Post Matric qualification in office administration (advantageous)  
  • Minimum three (3) years of customer service experience, preferably in a medical diagnostic/laboratory supplier environment
