ROLE OVERVIEW

Edward Snell & Co. is seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented Demand Planner to join our dynamic team in Cape Town.

 

QUALIFICATION

3 year B Degree / 4 year Diploma supply chain management, logistics or similar is essential

CIPS/CPIM would be advantageous.

 

EXPERIENCE

  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in a planning environment (Demand planning, S&OP management, supply planning)
  • Shipping knowledge and materials planning would be advantageous
  • MS Office competency, highly competent in Excel
  • Experience with planning/demand/forecasting tools
  • SAP or similar ERP experience would be advantageous

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Actively engage in the end-to-end Sales and Operational Planning process, with a focus on demand & supply planning
  • Support the Material Planning process as well as the execution of the material plan and finished goods volumes for the production team
  • Ordering stock from suppliers and principals to fulfil customer demand and maintaining service levels
  • Ability to provide stock analysis to drive profitability and maintain optimal stock levels
  • Resolving issues where stock does not arrive on time in full
  • Ensure that the monthly production schedule is aligned to forecasts to ensure delivery in line with sales requirements
  • Work in conjunction with the Planning, Logistics and Sales to guarantee order fulfilment in line with customer requirements
  • Maintaining all documents relating to supply chain processes in accordance with shipping and quality requirements
  • Communicating informed risks within the business to key stakeholders
  • Managing the forecasts and co-ordination of raw materials and production for various third-party/contract bottlers
  • Supporting adhoc forecasting and planning processes
