The FrontierCo head office in GEORGE, Western Cape is seeking a skilled and motivated Systems Administrator to join our dynamic IT team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Microsoft 365 (O365) and Dynamics 365 (D365), as well as proficiency in managing Active Directory and Azure Active Directory environments. A deep understanding of Dynamics Business Central ERP is also essential. This role involves managing and optimising our IT infrastructure to ensure smooth operations, security, and efficiency.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Microsoft 365 Administration:
    • Manage and maintain O365 services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, and OneDrive.
    • Implement and manage security policies in O365, ensuring compliance with company standards.
    • Develop and deploy solutions to enhance productivity and collaboration using O365 tools.
    • Monitor O365 performance and usage trends to identify optimization opportunities.

 

  • Dynamics 365 Administration:
    • Maintain and support D365 applications, ensuring seamless integration with other systems.
    • Troubleshoot issues, implement updates, and manage configurations for optimal performance.
    • Provide training and documentation for users to maximize D365 functionalities.
    • Collaborate with vendors or consultants on advanced customizations and updates.

 

  • Network Administration:
    • Maintain network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
    • Monitor network performance and address bottlenecks or vulnerabilities.
    • Collaborate with vendors and service providers to ensure network reliability.

 

  • System Security:
    • Implement and manage security solutions such as endpoint protection, firewalls, and access controls.
    • Monitor for potential cybersecurity threats and respond to incidents as needed.
    • Enforce policies and procedures to maintain data privacy and system security.

 

  • Active Directory and Azure Active Directory:
    • Manage and maintain on-premises Active Directory environments, including group policies and user access.
    • Administer Azure Active Directory, including user provisioning, SSO configurations, and security settings.
    • Perform regular audits of permissions and roles to ensure compliance and security.
    • Integrate and manage identity solutions for third-party applications.

 

  • ERP System Management:
    • Provide technical support and administration for Dynamics Business Central.
    • Collaborate with internal teams to optimize ERP processes and workflows.
    • Design and implement data backup and recovery procedures for ERP systems.
    • Monitor and enhance ERP system performance and user experience.

 

  • General IT Support:
    • Ensure the stability and security of FrontierCo’s IT systems and infrastructure.
    • Monitor system performance and address potential issues proactively.
    • Collaborate with other IT team members on projects and initiatives.
    • Document IT processes, configurations, and solutions for knowledge sharing and compliance.

 

  • Project Management:
    • Lead or assist in IT projects, including migrations, upgrades, and system implementations.
    • Ensure project deliverables meet scope, timeline, and budget requirements.
    • Communicate progress and challenges to stakeholders effectively.

 

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Proven experience as a Systems Administrator, with strong expertise in O365 and D365 environments.
  • Proficiency in Active Directory and Azure Active Directory management.
  • Experience with Dynamics Business Central ERP
  • Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, networking, and security principles.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, MCSA: Office 365, or Dynamics 365 certifications.
  • Comptia A+ and N+
  • Knowledge of PowerShell scripting for automation.
  • Familiarity with ITIL practices.
