  • Location: Epping, Cape Town, travel once a week to Claremont Site

Job description

OHS Care is actively recruiting for an adventurous, qualified Occupational Health Nursing Practitioner to conduct medical examinations onsite a Must be willing to travel to Claremont site once a week from Epping, Cape Town. 

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conducting medical examinations
  • Management of the team
  • Manage client satisfaction
  • End of day Administration
  • Conduct health assessment and screenings of employees to assess fitness for duty
  • Conduct medical surveillance including pre-employment, baselines, transfer medicals, periodic medicals and exit medicals, follow-ups including any tests as required.
  • Physical examination
  • Refer employees to health care providers
  • Issue Certificates of Fitness
  • Manage and treat work-related injuries and illnesses, including first aid and emergency response.
  • Provide counselling and education to employees on health-related issues, including preventive care and lifestyle management
  • Conduct HRA’s and recommend modifications to improve workplace safety and comfort.
  • Deliver PHC/chronic disease management and manage medication through stock counts  and drug registers

 

Desired Qualifications & Experience:

  • Qualified in Occupational Health Nursing
  • Registered with the South African Nursing Council (SANC)
  • Certificate in Audiometry registered with SASOHN
  • Certificate in Spirometry and Vision Screening
  • 2-5 years experiencing in the Occupational Health setting
  • Effective Client Liaison Communication
  • Computer literacy
  • Professional conduct with good interpersonal skills
  • Able to function independently
  • Must be a team player and actively manage the team
