Job Details
Reporting into the Senior Paid Search Manager under the Global Head of Paid Search, you will be responsible for helping to manage Google Ads, Microsoft Ads and Apple Search campaigns globally across multiple brands and finance/fintech verticals.
The role will initially involve more didactic and directed tasks, but the right candidate is expected to be immediately involved in inputting to the development of strategy, paid search campaigns and creative production. The right candidate would see a rapid path to increasing self-management to plan and execute on stakeholder briefs.
In this fast-moving industry, being able to efficiently manage your time and prioritise your workflow is as essential as an eye for detail, good analytical skills and intermediate paid search understanding at a level where you can create campaigns and optimise budget delivery to ensure efficiency in testing and spend.
A data-driven and analytical approach is essential as is being able to work successfully in a team and develop good relationships locally and across the business. We’re looking for someone with around one year of paid search experience but, more importantly, the right candidate will be reliable, of good character and attitude, and be able to demonstrate good acumen in, and understanding of, search marketing basics and ideally may have some vocational knowledge of retail trading, gambling and/or fintech more broadly.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Meet deadlines and work towards set targets to help maximise return on investment from paid search accounts
- Plan and create paid search campaigns across Google Ads, Microsoft Ads and Apple Search Ads using current best practice
- Undertake keyword research for products and financial market events that have the potential to increase reach and demand
- Create strong text copy; write briefs for asset production, considering audience research and profiling
Working closely with the local marketing team to:
- Ensure keywords, ad copy and landing pages resonate with the relevant audience and are in sync with broader marketing activities, as required
- Identify opportunities where paid search can support wider marketing initiatives
- Work with data using spreadsheets and other tools to analyse performance, help create data driven solutions to questions and problems and report on outcomes.
- Optimise paid search to scope in on targets, improve budget efficiency and increase ad delivery and reach as required
- Attend calls with stakeholders, suppliers and the wider marketing team, giving updates on work undertaken, work planned and an overview of performance when required
- Keep abreast of current affairs that move financial markets as well as the latest news on changes in the paid search ecosystem
QUALIFICATIONS
Skills, Knowledge & Experience Required
- Some experience working with 5+ figure budgets and managing multiple accounts/products
- Previous experience in Google Ads paid search with a reasonable understanding of the auction
- Process, bid strategies, optimisation techniques, testing methods and account management
- Able to produce strong ad copy to best practice
- Persuasive communicator, both orally and in writing
- Ability to prioritise and execute multiple programs in a dynamic work environment
- Good problem-solving skills; able to participate effectively in discussions that lead to positive
- outcomes
- Good Excel, PowerPoint and general presentation skills
- Excellent attention to detail
Desired Skills
- Up-to-date Google Ads, Microsoft Ads and Apple Search Ads certifications
- An understanding of financial markets, spread betting, forex, CFD and online trading
- Experience in using 3rd party bidding technology, SA360 preferred
- Understanding of wider marketing ecosystem and tech stacks, preferably experience with Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Google Data/Looker Studio, Power BI and Jira
