Job Details
We are looking for a young, dynamic, energetic Payroll Support Consultant with at least 2-3 years of payroll processing and support experience. The ideal candidate must have a matric / NQF level 4, a driver’s license, and experience in a client-facing or consultancy environment. Experience with Payspace or Deel Local Payroll System would be an advantage.

Required knowledge, skills and personal attributes:
- Comprehensive understanding of payroll regulations.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong numeracy skills.
- Proficiency with payroll software.
- Effective communication and time management skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Additional soft skills: critical thinking, problem-solving, adaptability, self-discipline and the ability to work under pressure.
- Willingness to assist clients at inconvenient times.
- Proficient in Afrikaans, as most of our clients are Afrikaans-speaking.
Key responsibilities:
Client Support & Troubleshooting:
- Provide guidance and support to clients on payroll software and system usage.
- Resolve payroll-related issues, ensuring timely resolution.
Payroll Processing Assistance:
- Assist clients in processing payroll accurately and on time.
- Ensure payroll calculations comply with applicable laws, policies, and client-specific rules.
- Assist in maintaining payroll systems and ensure all information is current and accurate.
Compliance & Regulatory Adherence:
- Stay updated on changes in payroll-related regulations and laws and advise clients accordingly.
- Monitor, audit, and review payroll records to ensure compliance with audit requirements.
Reporting & Documentation:
- Prepare and generate payroll reports as required by clients.
- Maintain accurate records of payroll transactions, adjustments, and employee benefits.
- Assist in preparing end-of-year payroll reports, tax submissions, and other necessary documentation.
System Maintenance & Updates:
- Assist in updating and configuring payroll systems to meet client needs or accommodate new regulatory requirements.
- Identify areas for process improvements and recommend solutions to enhance payroll efficiency and accuracy.
