Role Description
This is a full-time role for a Travel Administrative Assistant. As a Travel Administrative Assistant, you will be responsible for all enquiries, maintenance and payments around platforms that we market our accommodation on. This role entails working closely with a small team. Your day-to-day tasks will include assisting with travel bookings, managing correspondence, coordinating schedules, and maintaining accurate records. This role is on-site in the mornings and remote in the afternoons, located in Hermanus.
Qualifications and Experience
- Executive Administrative Assistance skills
- Clerical Skills, including data entry and file management
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Excellent phone etiquette
- Attention to detail and great organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience in the travel industry is a plus
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience with a merchant account and processing of payments
- Experience of maintaining and updating listing information on online travel agencies such as Airbnb, Booking.com, SafariNow and Afristay
- Accurate maintenance skills for all property listings that you sell (keeping photos, rates and listing information up to date)
- Experience of generating quotes and invoices for clients.
- References of previous work experience required
- Knowledge of MacOS
